Feed & Fix 'Em

If you're feeding a stray cat, it's your responsibility to get it spayed or neutered.

If you don't, you'll end up feeding dozens more after it has had several litters and those kittens grow up and have kittens of their own. It gets out of control fast.

There are local rescue groups who offer low cost spay/neuter for community cats.

Donations

Cat rescue groups and individuals are always in need of cat supplies. Most rescuers are caring for their foster cats with their own funds (including food, litter, and vet care), and spend their "free" time trapping strays, fishing kittens out of storm drains, driving hours away to TNR clinics, scooping litter boxes and rubbing the ears of lonely cats.

Local rescue groups and shelters are also always in need of these supplies. The group's website will usually have a "urgent needs" or "wish list" to show what they are most in need of at the moment.

If you have any of these supplies to donate directly to the individuals in the Spring Hill Cat Lady network, call or text Diane Terrell at 913-603-8437 to arrange a drop off.

Items that are always appreciated:

  • Cat & kitten food (dry or canned)
  • Cat litter (any kind)
  • Live animal traps
  • New or gently used cat trees/towers and beds
  • Towels and blankets
  • Canned mackerel (for baiting TNR traps)
  • Cat-sized carriers
  • XL wire dog crates
  • Puppy training pads

Don't Shop - Adopt

If you're looking to add a cat to your family, check this website as well as with the rescue groups and shelters in your area instead of pet stores or breeders.

Foster

Local rescue groups and shelters can help you with everything you need - all you provide is the space and attention the cat(s) need until they find their forever home.
